turntable shelving

I spent many, many hours over the weekend and earlier this week trying to figure out a good solution to my turntable/record storage problem. Currently, my turntables are on a standard 24″x48″ table, and the records are in crates next to the turntables, or on the floor. I really want to get something that will allow me to use the space a little better. I’d love to get the records I use most often up above the turntables on some shelves. I’d also like something a little sturdier to hold the turntables.

I spent a lot of time at the Metro website. I drew all kinds of pictures of what I wanted, and then tried to find all the right parts to make it. It was really difficult and frustrating. I finally came up with something that would probably work (although I’m not 100% sure), but when I priced it out, it was over $1,000. So, for now I’m taking a break from that project, in the hopes that something will come to me later on. On the bright side, I’m now so familiar with the Metro product line that I could probably get a job with them if I end up getting downsized at some point.

I am the third one too. Now I can be every odd-numbered post, but not every prime-numbered post.

Luckily, I can just delete posts if I really want to.
